• Pricing details:
  • Single/Double Occupancy Rooms are $267.00 (+ taxes) per night.
  • All guests will be responsible for a $25 Resort Fee.
  • A $75 hold will be placed on each guest's credit card for incidentals. The hold will be released upon check out unless otherwise determined by hotel staff.

Visa Information: Steps to Obtain a U.S. Visa for Conference Attendance

International participants planning to attend The Forum on Education Abroad’s Annual Conference in the United States may need to obtain a B-1 (Business Visitor) visa or travel under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), if eligible. 

Step 1: Determine if you Need a Visa

• ​Citizens of certain countries may travel to the United States without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). 
• ​

If you are not eligible for the VWP, you will need a B-1 visa to enter the United States for conference purposes. 

step 2: Apply for a B-1 Visa (If Required)

1. Visit the to begin your visa application process.
2. Complete the (Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application).
3. Pay the visa application fee (typically $185 USD). 
4. at your nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.

Step 3: Prepare Required Documentation

You will need to bring the following to your visa interview: 

• A valid passport (must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in the United States) 
• DS-160 confirmation page with barcode 
• Visa application fee receipt 
• A letter of invitation from º«¹úÈý¼¶Æ¬(available upon request, see template below) 
• Proof of conference registration 
• Financial documents to show ability to cover travel expenses 
• Any other documents requested by the U.S. embassy or consulate 

Step 4: Attend Your Visa Interview

​During your interview, a consular officer will determine your eligibility based on your documents, travel intent, and ties to your home country. 

Step 5: Wait for Visa Processing

Processing times vary by location. We recommend that you for your local U.S. consulate.

Visa Invitation Letters

If you require a formal letter of invitation from The Forum on Education Abroad, please to submit a request.  

Please request your letter of invitation to Annual Conference 2026 in Nashville by December 5, 2025. The visa application process can take several months, so please apply for a visa as early as possible.    
  
Guidelines:   

• Invitation letters will be issued to attendees who have registered for the full conference (in Nashville and online).    
• Invitation letters will be emailed as PDFs to attendees. Hard copies cannot be mailed.   
• If a visa is denied, The Forum will refund your registration fee according to our Refund/Cancellation Policy.   
• All expenses associated with the conference are the responsibility of the attendee.   
• The Forum is unable to assist with the visa process beyond providing the invitation letter.   

   
Your request will be reviewed by Forum staff. Please allow two weeks to receive a response. The Forum reserves the right to decline the request for a letter of invitation. Your request for a letter of invitation does not guarantee that you will receive a visa.
